COMPANY/AREA: Biotechnology company that research, manufacture and commercialize products for clinical diagnosis.
POSITION: Clinical Samples Manager.
 

POSITION ROLES: The Clinical Samples Manager will have the responsibility to set up and manage the Biobank of the company that will include samples (sera and plasma), in the field of infectious diseases and coagulation.

• Carry out the inventory and compilation of associated information of samples available at the Company (with the support of laboratory technical staff).
• Follow up contacts with samples suppliers and initiate new ones.
• Assure samples availability on time according to the research projects requests.
• Acquire, supply, process and archive samples, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory requirements.
• Unify vials, labels, bar codes, aliquiots volumes, storage conditions...
• Set up of standard operation procedures (SOPs).
• Lead the setup of a commercial Biobank samples management software.
• Ensure sample inventories and databases are accurate, complete and up-to-date.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate Degree in a Biological or Health Sciences.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory, biorepository or biobank from a hospital setting, diagnostics or pharmaceutical company.
Direct experience in biological samples handling, coding, labelling, storage and data management. Direct experience in specific sample management software or LIMS use. Knowledge in biobanking related guidelines and laws (research with human biological materials and data protection). Fluency in English.
